Calcium acetate is a chemical compound which is a calcium salt of acetic acid. We manufacture pharmaceutical grade of Calcium acetate and this is used in pharmaceutical applications . It is in white powdered or white crystalline form and non-hazardous.
CALCIUM ACETATE APPLICATIONS:
Calcium acetate is used to treat hyperphosphatemia (too much phosphate in the blood) in patients with end stage kidney disease who are on dialysis. Calcium acetate is used as a food additive, as a stabilizer, buffer and sequestrant, mainly in candy products.
